Week 8 in Review

week

Saturday – Soccer games and General Conference (which was Sunday too).  I sorted through baby girl’s out grown clothes and pulled out the cold weather clothes for everyone.  The boys are super stocked about “winter clothes”.  HA!  I do love the fall, but man it seems to have gotten cold so quickly!  I also got Stitch Fix box #2, a special treat!  I managed to order 200 prints to get ready for a scrap booking retreat I’ll be attending in November.  This is a semi-annual tradition for my mom and I, we haven’t been in 3yrs though since I was living in Hawaii.  We are both excited to get back into the groove of it!  I’m about 4years behind in scrapbooking now, it was SOOO overwhelming sorting through digital prints to figure out where to start!  I’m excited to have a plan now!  Best of all, I had 2 100 FREE 4x6 print coupons from Costco to use, SCORE!

Monday – Today was a rough day, not enough sleep the night before, we got a late start and my patience was shot by lunch time…..it got ugly (I’m ashamed to say, but it happens sometimes).  The day turned around though and the older boys went to Martial Arts and then Art class.  After we dropped the older two at art class, I hit the grocery store and earned 80cents off per gallon of gas..which saved me $50 when filling up the beast!  YEAH!   We went to the park and ride to wait for the hubby…we traded cars (he took the younger kids and the groceries home and I went back to art class).  We ate some of our grocery treats while waiting and baby girl had a hay day with an Oreo cookie ice cream sandwich!

Then it was Sloppy Joes and French Fries for dinner (request of my soon to be 4yo) and FHE (Family Home Evening) and Bed (and they all actually went to sleep at a decent hour! My 5yo has been having serious sleep anxiety)!

Tuesday – Okay not sure if it’s the pending full moon or the change in weather or what, but OMG today was another rough day!  It didn’t help either that when we went to take c to Gymnastics NO ONE else was there, apparently I missed a memo!  Anyhow…we used the extra time we had to do a couple projects with c (almost 4) and Z (5) while C (8) worked on his afternoon computer work.  Another exciting thing, K took her first steps!!  She just let go of the book case and took a few steps on her own.  She has done it a few more times since then.  She is growing up WAY TOO FAST!  She’ll be ONE this month!  Where does time go?  Z had soccer practice and C had cub scouts, the littles ran to the store with me to grab some pasta for a co-op fossil project on Thursday!

Wednesday – Today was such a better day!  I had hoped to get up early to see the red moon but I just couldn’t get out of bed!  (I still get woken a few times during the night between the kids).  I heard back from the gymnastics place, I guess they couldn’t read my handwriting and had left messages at the wrong number that they changed the class.  O well!  Wednesday’s is also martial arts.

Thursday -   Co- op today!  Always fun!  I teach Z’s class 2nd hour and we made the dinosaur fossils with pasta.  C dissected an owl pellet in his gross science class and everyone’s favorite part of co-op is PE (outside!).  Then we hit up Costco and the kids picked Halloween costumes (we will be out of town on Halloween, so we were going to just skip it this year, but the church is having a fall party before we leave town).  We also got snow pants and a dress for baby girl for my brother’s wedding next year (she won’t be in it, but the boys will and I’d like her to match for pictures).  C had his last soccer practice of the season, it was kids versus parents, they had a blast (but the hubby pulled a muscle and broke his glasses!).  Wish I could have been there to watch, but I was home with baby girl who had not napped all day (except for like 15mins in the car).

Friday – Did not want to go anywhere today….it is just cold and wet and YUCK!  But, the boys had swimming…so we went.  I usually get in with K too, but today we didn’t and that made her MAD!!  Home now, going to watch some educational shows and maybe make some applesauce!  Have a treasure hunt planned for today too.  Have a busy day set up for Saturday, but the rain may ruin it…FINE BY ME!  I feel like I’ve been running, running…and next week is even worse!
