Review: Discovery Kids Dinosaur Factivity Kit @ParragonBooks

81UlyaWxpVL

This month we got to take a look at the Dinosaur Factivity Kit.  This kit is much like last month’s kit Human Body Factivity Kit.

This kit is $14.99 and includes a dinosaur skeleton to build and a dinosaur facts book filled with 128 colorful  pages of games, mazes and more!  There are over 50 activities in all.

This was a HUGE hit with my dinosaur loving 5 year old!  He is a big fan of Dino Dan, and is always spouting off dinosaur facts.  This book has helped feed his curiosity and thirst for dino knowledge!

Math Monday

Today we took Math outside, b/c we needed the space.  We took our tape measure and some chalk to find out exactly HOW BIG WAS A DINOSAUR?

We measured out 39ft the length of a T-Rex, and C and Z each stood at one end of the line, about as long as a bus.

044

Then we measured how many C’s that was, answer:  10.5

Then we measured even further to see how big a Supersaurus was – 140ft, and it took us 62 mommy steps from one side to the other…and he was not even the biggest dinosaur!

We had a lot of fun with this activity, and it really helped put into perspective just how big dinosaurs were.

Check out my Giveaway for a great book to go along with this activity!
