Man! I didn’t realize I let 3 weeks past without doing a review post! Whooops! Time does go by fast it seems. Heck, November is already HALF WAY OVER! I’ve already started shopping for Christmas! It’s just all moving by SO FAST! Let’s see now, if I can even remember what we have done the last 3 weeks!
Week of 10/26
Monday: We attended our first 4H robotics club meeting on Monday, I feel bad because the boys were a bit bored. It was a planning meeting for the coming year, not the BEST for starting out, but it was good that we were able to get some say in what they plan for the next year. We will go again this month, that will be to register for next year. I’m really excited to that since my 4yo turns 5 this month, he will be eligible to join as well, so all 3 boys can be members!
Tuesday: C had cooking class. Always a treat. He loves it! The rest of us went and hung out at the library, since it’s getting chilly out. Then we had a playdate with a friend, but C got a really bad stomach ache and we had to leave early. We think it’s the milk he drank in cooking (we are not usually milk drinkers).
Wednesday: Same old, Same old…. MMA, Soccer…etc…
Thursday: Baby girl turned 2, though we won’t celebrate it until later, when we have family around.
Friday: We had the trunk or treat at church. Always a fun time! Lots of good food, the farmer next door gives hay rides, and then of course the treating!
Saturday: Trick or Treating, last thing we needed was more candy, BUT they didn’t get to go last year and hubby felt the needed the experience. HA!
Week of 11/2
Monday: Typical Monday, MMA and school
Tuesday: School day
Wednesday: Field Trip (see Field Trip Friday, last week), we went to the BMI and had a class on engineering!
Thursday: Co-op, Costco and all that jazz! Co-op was fun, we had a market day where the kids could sell things, my kids made $14 selling cookies, bookmarks and ornaments they have made over the last couple of years!
Friday: Swimming, followed by an Engineering class at the library (see Field Trip Friday, this week). My mom drove up and she and I left for the weekend for a Scrapbook Retreat. We usually go 2 times a year (once in the Spring and once in the Fall…but we just signed up for two next Spring! It’s the only way I get any scrapping done!).
Saturday: Soccer games!
Week of 11/9
Monday: Typical Monday, MMA and school
Tuesday: Hubby took off so I could attend our homeschool review sans kiddos. Had that at 11am, it went very well (always does) and then I headed off with C to the library for his Battle of the Books meeting. He picked two books to read:
He read them all day 1! Then he and I headed out to Columbia to check out Trader Joe’s. That night they had a cub scout field trip to the Police Dept (check out this week’s Field Trip Friday).
Wednesday: Hubby was off again for Veteran’s Day. Nothing too exciting, MMA and racking of leaves. Today was also day 31 of my Whole 30, you can see my post that sums it all up for you HERE!
Thursday: We had a light school day, did a lot of sorting of toys and putting stuff up for sale (still have a LOT to do, I really need to clean up the school room and get rid of some stuff!). They took a make-up MMA class in the evening. K and c had an ABC class at the library. This month is letter C!
Friday: Hubby is off again because he had a dentist appt, so he took them to swimming! Morning off for me! yeah!
Saturday: Everyone has their final games and end of season parties, I have a craft day at church (I signed up to make several cute things). It’s going to be a busy day running from here to there! Glad soccer is over! Phew! Juggling 3 kids this season was a bit of a challenge!
Every time I start to think we will finally have a ‘normal’ school week, we don’t. I’ve decided that that is NORMAL! ha! Somehow we manage to get it all in, but I’ve learned not to stress about it and go with the flow! It has taken a couple of years though!
