I’m Thankful for… week 1 & week 2

-001_thumb

I guess it's cliche' to start the days of thankfulness off with family...but it's true! I'm very grateful for my family...all of them! They all play such a unique role in my life! But to spread it thinner, I'll dtart with my parents. I'm grateful for my parents and the great job they did raising me (I know I wasn't always easy), I'm grateful for the great friends they are to me now and the great grandparents they are for my kids! love ya both

I'm grateful for my kids, they make me crazy a lot of the time, but they also make my life worthwhile! I love them with my everything, and wouldn't trade them for anything!

I'm grateful for my husband. He is a great day to the kiddos, and he is my best friend! I can't imagine life without him and I'm so grateful he puts up with me (though I put up with him too! lol). In all seriousness, I wouldn't trade him or the relationship we have built over the last 14yrs for anything or anyone. I'm glad he is mine for Eternity!

I'm thankful for homeschooling! It's not always easy, and some days I may question why?!!?? But, I really love being able to spend the time with my children and have a such a huge role in teaching and molding them into the adults they will one day become. I love the flexibility that it allots. We spent the day at the Museum of Industry today, the kids had a blast with friends, and learned as well! I wouldn't have it any other way!

I'm thankful for our co-op! It really has been the perfect fit! They are a great bunch of ladies, and the kids have so much fun! Today they had a market day, and the kids sold stuff they made, they had a blast! This was in addition to their classes and playing with friends. A fire truck was suppose to come too, but I guess they got a call and never showed... BUT... I just love that my kids are able to have these experiences and that I am able to be a part of it!

I'm thankful for the Jesus Christ, for his sacrifice for me that I may be able to return again to him and to be with my family for eternity! The gospel brings me so much peace in a world with so much uncertainty.

I'm thankful for a weekend away! I'm so grateful that I have a husband that can run the household solo, and allows me to take much needed ME time!

I'm thankful for the beautiful fall colors and the fresh air. At scrapbook retreat a took a couple walks in the woods, it felt good to breath the fresh air, feel the cool breeze and take in the beautiful colors (though most of the leaves have already fallen to the ground). I really missed the change of seasons while living in Hawaii.

I'm grateful to be living in MD, I know we may not always be here, and I'm okay with that. There are lots of things to not like about Maryland, but I do love being close to my family, that it's slightly cheaper than Hawaii, that there is a great homeschool support system here, I've made friends and my kids have too. It is a beautiful place to live. You can find good and bad no matter where you are, and I choose to emphasize the good!

I’m grateful for my extended family members.  My aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, the list could go on and on!  The family is the biggest support system, and though I don’t see most of you very often, I think of you often and love and appreciate the people you are!

I am thankful for all the Veteran’s, those that are willing to serve in the military to help keep our country safe and to keep it OURS!  I am thankful for their families and the support that they give.  Being in the military is not easy, but being a relative (particularly children and spouse) of someone in the military is also not easy.  Thank you for your sacrifices!

Thankful that I was able to finish the Whole30 and for the amazing results I have seen/felt.  I’m so grateful for these amazing resources that are out there, but most importantly I feel that this was an answer to prayer…which brings me to….

I’m thankful for prayer!  I’m so glad that I have a Father in heaven who loves me and is aware of me and my needs.  I’m so grateful that he answers prayers and leads and guides us, when we let him.

I’m thankful for a living prophet today, to help lead and guide us in this troublesome world.
