We just finished reading a cute little book from Barbour Publishing from a new series titled The Bible Amigos. Book 1 is titled Jonah and the Bear.
This is a really cute Bible based series for ages 3 to 7 years old. The Bible Amigos travel via a flying Bible to a place where someone is in need. They then relate the situation to a Bible story to help the individual get out of their predicament.
Some of the dialogue is a bit cheesy, but my 4 and 5 year olds enjoyed the story. It’s a book with a good moral, and they also learn Bible stories at the same time.
In this particular book the Bible Amigos travel to help a bear that wouldn’t share get out of his sinking boat. The situation is related to the story of Jonah and the whale.
It’s a cute and fun way to relate Bible stories to our lives today!
