A Blog Hop designed to share 'FIELD TRIP' related Blog Posts
(does not have to be a 'home school field trip', can be any trip to any place with your children!)
This week we made a trip to the zoo and brought along Wild at the Zoo by Kid Quest Science Adventures.
Before our trip, C worked on the packet, listing animals from various phylum. He used zoo animal flashcards to find different animals and to help with spelling.
The next part of the packet took place at the zoo. He picked animals that we saw, and filled out their name, scientific name, habitat, origin, danger of extinction rating, diet, etc…
It was a really fun and interactive way to get more learning out of our zoo trip! It’s an activity that can be completed more than once (you can complete the zoo portion of the pages numerous times). There are even follow up activities when you return home.
The program is available at Currclick.com and is currently on sale for $4.50. It includes a Parent and Child packet. I only printed the child packet, and kept the soft copy of the parent packet on my Ipad for reference.
