My Groovy Planet Review and Giveaway

My Groovy Planet is a monthly subscription program that promotes recycling, fair trade, volunteering and doing what we can as individuals to make a difference in this world.  The welcome package isn’t anything to really get excited over, (contents are listed below), the first month’s kit was really neat!  It made me even more excited about the concept of this company and even more glad that I am able to help promote it! They  have since changed the set up so that you receive the welcome package and the first kit at the SAME time!  A positive change in my opinion!
So, let me lay it out for you:

For $11.99 plus $2.95 S&H per month (10% and 20% discounts apply for 6mo and 12mo memberships) you first receive your welcome kit, which consists of:

My first month package consisted of the following:
034
(First month kits will vary, there is not a set order, you will receive which ever kit is going out the month you register, so all subscribers receive the same kit every month)
We thought the straws were really neat, and I loved that the purchase of this kit went to helping the people of Laos make a living.  The information with the straws, taught us more about Laos, and we also learned about the high use of straws and ways that we can minimize the trash by using reusable straws such as the bamboo straws from Laos.
My kids are always asking to use straws, they thought it was really neat to be able to use these ones!

I think these kits are a great way to learn about our world and how we can make a difference in it!

  1. Oh, how neat! We've been slowly, but steadily getting more and more "green".

  2. Sorry my comment went through too quickly. Anyway.. great giveaway. What do I do? We'll I've lived the green life for a very long time. I use only holistic medicine; I homebirthed (you wouldn't believe the waste caused by hospitals!); cloth diapered; breastfed and use only natural, handmade personal and cleaning products. There are no toxic chemicals in our house. I also own a green cleaning service. As well, I cook from scratch eliminating all the waste from processed food packaging.

  7. We have been recycling EVERYTHING that we can find to use for art lessons. We have made so many neat projects, and my son gets a big kick out of making 'new' things out of 'old' things :)
