We haven’t really decided what day we are going to start our NEW curriculum, but we are still doing fun stuff every day to learn, and since most of the world is not headed ‘Back to School’, I figured we’d go ahead and do our Back to school photos.
My youngest (age 2.5) refused to pose for a picture, so here are my two biggers.
I can’t believe Z is 4 and will be in Kindergarten this time next year! He likes gymnastics and swimming. He will be participating in a Pre-K co-op one day a week, he has speech class 2 days a week, and loves doing his workboxes! He likes to sit in on Science and History lessons with his older brother, and will be doing some themed units based on the Montessori Literature Curriculum I’m compiling as well as some units made to sync with what his brother is learning about! You can find the core materials we will be using listed here, and I’ll post what we do each week theme wise, so stay tuned!
Our 3rd official year of homeschooling begins NOW! I can hardly believe it! C just turned 7. He likes swimming and gymnastics as well. He will continue with our in home co-op which meets one day, every other week. We do lots of fun field trips with a local homeschool group (HYCO), and will also be doing PE one day a week, every other week (opposite weeks as co-op). You can see our curriculum choices for this year HERE, we have also added in a few lapbook programs from Hands of a Child and Unit Studies by Amanda Bennett in the themes covered by the curriculums (for some reinforcement and change).
Both boys will take part in the extra curricular curriculum materials (even my 2.5yo likes to jump in for those!). You can find those listed HERE.
I’m really looking forward to the new year, and feel like so far we are really off to a great start!
