Our France Little Passports Package, I’ll admit I was slightly disappointed in the package this month, which I emailed them about. I made a few other suggestions, and they took note of my comments, so we’ll see. We are now anxiously awaiting our next package from EGYPT!
We built our very own Eiffel Tower. C was the project manager and I was queen of the hot glue gun. He noticed the curves at the base of the tower in pictures and suggested using our Handwriting without Tears small curves.
We had our country cards (you can print them from HERE), a tiny Eifel Tower and a small Arc de Triomphe, we also used the Land Formation Cards from Montessori Materials of arch, cliff and cave and looked up pictures online of The White Cliffs of Normandy.
Making Crepes – we used this recipe
I had not made crepes since 8th grade Home Ec class, but it went fairly well. I find the easiest way is to use a rubber spatula (just make sure it is heat resistant, I remember melting one in middle school!)
Great job on France. I was disappointed with the package this month too! I will need to contact them and let them know. I am searching for a craft to do for France beside building the Eiffel tower but not having any luck:( I think we are going to make homemade bread since France is famous for their bread. Crepes sound fun too we have eaten them when we went to Normandy:)
