Field Trip Friday!
Today was the first time I ventured on my own with the 3 boys to the zoo! I think it went quite well (actually it's the second time I ventured, but the first time ended broken down on the highway...NOT FUN!). Anyhow, I will say it's a lot harder to get good pictures when you are by yourself though, so the pics are not that great. But you get the idea! This month C has been studying reptiles and amphibians in his science class, so we have been covering them as well at home (he has science class one day a week). So we went to the zoo on a hunt for reptiles and amphibians, with our Zoo Cards in hand (we picked out the reptile and amphibian ones) we headed to the zoo. This is our 3rd trip to the Honolulu Zoo since moving here, but this was the first time we actually made it to the back part of the zoo.

This bearded dragon was too funny, here he is checking C out, and shortly after I clicked the pic, he puffed all up and opened his mouth at him, couldn't get it to do it again though. |

Not Reptiles or Amphibians, but Z's favorite display is this one with the GIGANTIC Koi fish. It's got a tunnel you can crawl through the exhibit, and come up in the middle of the water pool, but it was very crowded today. |

Last but not least, Komodo Dragon - check |

ReplyDeleteThanks for following and I am now following back:) My kids love trips to the zoo.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to the hop. We have a leopard gecko at home but my kids really want a bearded dragon!! I didn't realize leopard gecko were nocturnal so the kids don't get to see it much hence the reason they now want a Bearded Dragon:(. I will fold eventually but not before we return to the states.
