Here is what is in the boxes:
Sensory Bin with blue rice, rocks and glass beads. Scoops and small bowls. Shark Fact cards from The Pinay Homeschooler, foam alphabet SHARK, and Safari Ltd. Sharks Toob (pictured below in another box).
Shark counting by two cards, I punched two holes in each card to put a link in as an added visual for counting. Cards from 3 Dinosaurs.

We will also be using Sensational Sharks Unit Study by Amanda Bennett, mostly for my 7yo, but the littles enjoy the youtube clips.

I used a few printables from 1+1+1=1 blog D is for Dolphins, as well as some free dolphin and whale printables (that go with the toob) found at The Pinay Homeschooler. But other than that there was not much for dolphins in the preschool realm, so I made a few things of my own and you can find them HERE (9 pages).

Beginning writing pages from 1+1+1=1, and a dolphin maze I copied from an oceans activity book. We also used the cutting page and coloring page from 1+1+1=1.

We are using Unit Studies by Amanda Bennett Dolphin Days as the core for my 7yo, and the littles join in (they like the videos!).

Our hermit crab sensory bin, it's blue rice and a variety of shells and pebbles. We got the shell cards from HERE I found the little orange hermit crab on clearance at Walmart, he rolls around on the floor, the kids LOVED him!

Lighthouses unit (2 pages, scroll through, 4 weeks of activities with printables)
Other activities:
Practice letter writing in a tray of sand or salt
Make shell imprints in playdough, for more fun and texture make Beach Playdough or use Moon Sand
Make salty or sandy paintings….paint with glue (white or colored) and then shake sand or salt onto the picture.
Observe shells with magnifying glasses (you can also take a look at sand and/or salt)
Shell Picture Frames
Make a matching game with different grades of sand paper
Spend the day at the beach (if you can) or make a beach day at home
Make a wave machine with Oil and Blue water in a bottle – add sand and small shells too if you have them!

We used a lot of TOOBS for these units – Pirates, Whales and Dolphins, Coral Reef, Ocean, SeaLife, In the Water. My kids LOVE TOOBS and they make great manipulatives!
