Week of 2/1:
Monday was a typical day with MMA in the afternoon, followed by Art History class on Tuesday and Cub Scouts for C. While he was at class the rest of us did school at the library. Wednesday we switched things up with piano lessons in the morning and we skipped MMA in the afternoon. Thursday was a typical school day, with a letter class at the library for the youngest 2 (the love these classes!).
The castle can be found HERE
We got our last Animal Trackers safari kit
(You can get a coupon if you download our Safari Packet)
Friday we skipped swimming and spent the day at the aquarium! (see Field Trip Friday).
Saturday hubby took the kiddos to the Home Depot Workshop (also on Field Trip Friday).
Week of 2/9:
Monday was a laid back day, as C had a doctor’s appointment in the mid morning. MMA in the afternoon (this is every Monday and Wednesday). We met with Cs doctor to discuss the possibility of ADHD inattentive disorder. This is something I have been struggle with for a long time, turmoil over it again and again. We have tried supplements, essential oils and change in diet… all of which show improvement for a short time only. More on this in a future post, but the appointment went REALLY well. Our doctor is very homeschool friendly and very supportive of me as a mother and my choices.
Tuesday we got SNOW! Not as much as last time, only a few inches, but hubby was granted liberal leave and stayed home just in case (though it never really stuck to the road). So since he was home, school didn’t really happen. Art History class was cancelled, as well as Cub scouts and Battle of the Books, so our previously full schedule was empty!
Wednesday typically day with MMA in the afternoon. I attended a Relief Society activity on Cyber Safety which was filled with very useful information!
Thursday was our fist day back at co-op after winter break (since last class was cancelled from the big snow storm). The kids had a blast, we have lots of new families, lots of fun classes, and we had a Valentine’s Day party and card exchange! I made the kids and I Valentine’s Day shirts too! (I got a Cricut Explore One for Christmas)
Friday we had piano lessons and an easy day of Science and History! No swimming, next session starts up next Friday. I was glad for that because it is like 15 degrees out! bRRRRR!
This weekend is our anniversary (14 years) we will be taking a little getaway (not far) while my folks come sit with the kids.
We got a lot of new review products in the mail too! Can’t wait to start posting reviews for you guys to read! The first of which goes live next week!
