Week 51 in Review

week

Last Saturday we attend the Home Depot Workshop….always a blast!  AND it’s FREE!

This week I had planned to get back on track, but I forgot that C had art class every day from 10-12 and my 2 middle kids were going to my parents for the week.  They left Tuesday.  So I had ‘school’ with my 6yo on Monday.  C has done computer school all week (this is why I love that we have a few computer classes, it at least keeps him doing a little something every day, even on busy days!).  He also reads a lot…so I don’t feel too bad!

So I was with only 2 kids this week, 1 during art class…what a difference!  Though Baby girl K is a lot more demanding without her brothers around to entertain her!

Puppy is doing well….only had 2 accidents in the house, we are crate training her.

My brother is getting married this weekend, so that’s the big event!

Next week should bring some normalcy, but only SOME as my 4yo has art class everyday, and swim lessons 2 days, we also have our co-op BACK TO SCHOOL party!

I have decided to kick off the new year on the 31st with a (not) back to school breakfast with some homeschool friends.  A friend from Hawaii who also moved to MD has decided to homeschool next year, so she will be joining us!

We have to still finish up our Civil War unit and some park quests before the end of ‘summer’.

I have been busy plugging in our rough schedule for the new year into Homeschool Planet, you can try it for free!  Did you catch my review?  I’ve decided to print off the daily tasks for my oldest (C, 9) so that he can be a bit more independent….his list will include his life tasks too (like brush teeth, get dressed), because he always needs reminders to do these things.  I’m hoping the check of list will help him stay focused!

I’ve been working on an TOS Instagram Back to Homeschool Challenge this month!  Come join me!
