We started to get back into the swing of school this week, at least for 2 days.
Monday we met up with my Aunt and cousins at the splash park. I hadn’t been to that park since my oldest was probably 2 or 3. Was a fun time. Nice to not have to worry about the littlest ones not being able to swim. Z threw up in the middle of the night, so we thought we weren’t going to be able to go, but he was perfectly fine….I am chalking it up to allergies and a sensitive gag reflex.
Tuesday we met up with them again to see HOME, cute movie. It was at the cheap theatre for $2.75. We have looked into going to the summer $1 specials, but most of the ones they are showing, we have already seen. We tried to grab some kids eat free lunch, but all the advertised places weren’t doing it (goes to show you can’t trust everything you read online) and then the Burger King was without electricity. We just headed home.
Wednesday was swimming practice and school….Thursday was school as well. The kids got a ton of ribbons from the last two meets, It seems a bit ridiculous that they get ribbons even for 12th place…but they were excited to get some! (They got one for every event they same, no matter the place).
Friday hubby had off for the holiday, and turns out there was no swim practice scheduled (oops!). I took c (4yo) to a program at the library. Was fun to have just the two of us. Hubby took the two oldest on a bike ride afterwards. We really do not have any big plans for the holiday weekend. But sometimes it’s nice to just chill!
