Our final week in Lighthouses, we had a really great 4 weeks learning about lighthouses, and though our lighthouse unit is done, we still have 2 more lighthouses we plan to visit in the next few weeks, and I found a Lighthouse calendar on clearance at Wal-Mart last week, so we’ll have a new lighthouse each month to look at! It was another short week, only 3 days of school.

Our finale:
Maine
We made blueberry pancakes for breakfast, and whole wheat blueberry muffins for snack! *Instead of milk, we used blueberry yogurt!
Did you know most of the US grown blueberries come from Maine?
And of course we had our 3 part cards.

Thanks Jen for linking up at FreeBEE Fridays Link Up! We love lighthouses as we used to live 2 miles from Lake Michigan, by a lighthouse. Hope you are able to link up every week! Many blessings! PS. I hope we are able to get in a field trip some time soon, so I can link a post here with you!
ReplyDeleteI have a 30 month old at home that is itching to go to school. It is time for me to step in and step up my game (I've done some stuff with her, but I know I need to do more.) Thanks for the linkups. I am so excited to start creating units for her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great group of activities. And no I didn't know that about Maine! Did you know PA grows more mushrooms than any other state?
ReplyDeleteOkay, can I come hang out at your school? This looks like so much fun! Very creative ideas for teaching. I know your children loved the lighthouse unit. Thanks for sharing (and for linking up through NOBH!) Smiles -
