We came out of hiding last weekend after making sure that no one else was going to come down with that nasty bug! I thought some fresh air would be good for us all. That’s when we headed to Washington Monument Park and South Mountain Creamery (see Field Trip Friday).
Monday – Back to a normal ‘non-sick” week! Thank Goodness! Hubby had a dentist appt, so he took the kids to MMA while I ran errands, always nice! C made dinner – Stomach Ache Soup from Star Toaster
Tuesday – Rainy Day! Was a nice day spent at home. We working on our Lewis and Clark Unit Study by Homeschool Legacy. Kids really enjoy it! I had a kid free moment while waiting for the oil to be changed in the Suburban, got some reading in!
Wednesday – School Day.
Thursday – It was a beautiful day, we headed to the zoo. We have passes that will expire soon and wanted to get one last trip in.
Friday – Swim lessons! We missed the first day of the new session last week, so was nice to be back! We are almost done for this school year (only 3 more weeks now). We have a meeting this coming Monday to learn about swim team for the summer! We painted a solar system mobile we received as a gift (I love educational gifts!) and C also worked on his salt dough map of the US during Lewis and Clark’s time!
Saturday – Kids will have their history class at the historical society!
It has been a great week. I just can’t say enough about how much our days have changed since reading scriptures EVERY morning AND night! It’s great! We still have our ups and downs, but over all the days are so much better! I think it is a huge help to my own attitude, as well as the kids!

Neat mobile! We're learning about the solar system right now. And you've just reminded me that our Science Museum passes expire in June. I need to take the little ones in May when Hannah's school is off track.
ReplyDeleteScience Museum is always fun! :D
