Field Trip #64 Friday Blog Hop

(does not have to be a 'home school field trip', can be any trip to any place with your children!)
This week we went to the Christmas Tree Farm (Surprise!  Hawaii has a Christmas Tree Farm…honestly I had NO IDEA!).  Unfortunately my camera battery was dead (figures!).  I did manage to get a friend to take one picture. 
We learned some neat things, like the trees are self-sustaining, in that when they chop them, they chop above the bottom branches and the tree grows back!  The tree in our picture, they can grow new trees from the clippings!  (they have two different kind of trees on the farm:  Norfolk Pines and Leyland Cypress)
These trees also do not shed needles (they don’t have any) and are hypo-allergenic!  If I had known that before hand we may have gotten a live tree this year!
