Field Trip Friday!
(does not have to be a 'home school field trip', can be any trip to any place with your children!)
So we really did not go anywhere ‘fun’ this week, just the library. BUT, if you have been following me for a while now, you may recall that a few weeks ago I mentioned an Ancient Hawaiian Gardens and Fishpond tour we did that I forgot my camera for….well, I have finally gotten the pictures back from the friend who was kind enough to take pictures for me! So here they are!
This was a fun tour, we got to try some star fruit (picked straight from the tree), cracked their own macadamia nut with a rock, got a red ginger flower to take home and a mango leaf. It was touristy and a bit pricey, but we got a good group discount.
We also went to a Chinese Dragon Boat Race/Festival (on my birthday) we were hoping it would be cultural (it was not), BUT Q got recruited to help out a boat team that was short staffed

The Gardens look pretty! But then I have a feeling just about any field trip in Hawaii would be. :o)

I really do admire those of you who are home schooling. I am a nervous person and could not handle all the noise but those of you who do are angels. I miss the beaches on Hawaii:) You should never wear jeans in Hawaii:)
