Week 25 in Review

If you read Field Trip Friday then you already know about our weekend.  If not, check it out!  Feel free to link up any recent (or past) field trips you want to share too!

Monday – Monday started out really rough, but it ended well!  I was so proud of C for coming home from MMA and getting right back to work to finish what didn’t get done that morning!  We had a fun group FHE lesson at the church!

Tuesday – Not a bad day, only day we got to stay home all day!  I like going places, but the ramming around does get exhausting!  The Sister Missionaries came over, we made some freezer meals for a sister in our ward that recently had twins!  That was fun!

Wednesday – We flew through school today!  It was so nice!  I feel like just as we get into a good groove for the week, it comes to an end!  lol   Z didn’t want to do any school Monday or Tuesday, and was just whiny and complaining like crazy…then Wednesday he jumped right in, happy mood and all willing.  It’s crazy.  We had a few whiny moments this week with C as well, but over all I am very impressed with how much he has grown and how well he is doing and how much he has improved over the last few years!  I can’t believe he is going to be 4th grade next year :yikes:

Thursday – Field Trip to the indoor trampoline place and a class at the nature center!  (more on that next week!)

Friday – Swimming and computer school!  Did you see our Instagram on last week’s Architecture Build?  We’ll be doing this week’s today!  So stay tuned! 

We’ve got big plans for the weekend – A home depot kids workshop and a baptism to attend!  I also have a date night this month with c I need to plan and next weekend is our 13th year anniversary (hubby and I).  Going to be a great week!!

Field Trip #158 Friday Blog Hop–PineWood Derby (Physics Lesson)

Field Trip Friday!

So maybe not technically a ‘field trip’ but this last weekend C has his first pinewood derby.  It was a neat lesson in Physics (though they really had no idea they were learning).  The size and shapes and weight of the cars, which ones went faster, etc.  There was actually a kid there just before we started conducting a science experiment based on placement of weights on the cars…which placement made the car go faster.   That was interesting to watch.

Cs car didn’t do too great, they only announced the top 3 in each den and top 5 overall, which he was not…but it was still fun to see everyone's cars and cheer them on!

Then the following night Z and I took our date night.  We rotate months among kids and parents for date nights.  So January was Z and I.  February is c and I, then March is C and hubby, then Z and hubby and then c and hubby, as K gets a little older we will add her in to the rotation.  I wish we could have one on one time more often, but we also have to fit in Mommy and Daddy date nights, and all the other stuff that goes on in life!

Today we have 2 field trips, plus a home depot FREE event this weekend!  So stay tuned for next week!
