We got to try out one issue of Junior Explorers. I used it with my 6 year old. He was very excited!
We received The Great Barrier Reef Edition, which I believe is one of the later months (not sure which one).
It contained temporary tattoos, stickers, two little animals, animal fact cards, Post cards, activity book, a button, a wristband, a fact sheet and an online mission!
Every time I check the mail the kids ask if there is something for them, so it’s fun to be able to say yes! once in a while. We logged into the the online mission, and my son had fun, only problem was that the voice overs aren’t done being added (this is a new program) and my 6yo is not reading well enough on his own. So, I had to read everything for him. Once they have launched the voice overs I think it will be more fun for him, and more user friendly for younger kids!
The toys in the kit are tiny, so this is meant for older kids. It’s recommended for ages 5-12 years. Each month is a different wildlife/nature theme set. So they are learning and having fun at the same time! (BONUS!)
The kit is $19 for 1 month or you can receive discounts buy paying in advance for multiple months. Shipping is $2 a month within the Continental US.
Junior Explorers also gives a percentage of their proceeds from every subscription to support conservation projects around the world!
