My son was so excited to get Space Scouts monthly subscription box! We received the first two boxes for this review.
Space Scouts is designed for children ages 6 and older. My son is just shy of 6 years old.
Here is what we received:
Month 1
A metal lunch box, a space poster, a sticker puzzle, a dot to dot with wikki stix, some activity worksheets, a metal ring with constellation cards cover.
Month 2
A mechanical hand toy, 2 astronaut figures, a magnet, a constellation card, some stickers, a sticker puzzle, some activity worksheets.
My son was most excited about the toys! But he also enjoyed the other items, we read about the constellation Ursa Major & Big Dipper. There is some Greek Mythology there! He put together the sticker puzzle, did the dot-to-dot. We talked orally about the worksheets mostly (some of these required writing skills he doesn't’ t yet have).
He really enjoyed the package and loved getting something in the mail for him! As mentioned,he was most excited about the toys in the 2nd box, in the first box he liked the lunch box and the poster the best! He couldn’t wait to show his dad his space treasures!
If you have a kid interested even the slightest in Astronomy, this is definitely going to be a HUGE hit with him/her! It’s fun and educational! This is great for homeschoolers and/or public schoolers. These kits could easily be expanded on for even more learning. They would make a great gift for a child in your life, or a fun summer learning activity!
See my Astronomy Board for lots of fun expansion ideas!
