It was a little confusing and overwhelming at first, but it didn't take me long to figure it all out. The same class is held every Monday, you need only attend one....and if you can't attend any, have no fear, each class is recorded and available for you to watch at your leisure. When you join you also have access to the archives, which are fun to look through; last week we did a build from the archives because it went with our theme. We have found we prefer watching the recordings because we can pause and rewind when needed. Plus my 6yo isn't old enough to participate in the online chat associated with the live class.
A list of Legos needed for the build is provided several weeks ahead of time. For me the most difficult part was sorting through my sons Legos to find what we needed.....but I solved that with a tackle box. I then sorted all his Legos out by size....when I got the next list, finding the pieces was a breeze!! (Now if only it would stay that organized!).
Don't have all the Legos listed?? There are two fairly easy options....the instructor just started offering full kits for sale, save time digging and just buy them altogether (and color coordinated!), or you can buy individual pieces through bricklink.com. They are fairly reasonably priced, and shipping is only a couple of dollars.
This month (October) the build was a tree.....each club meeting has an educational presentation in relation to the build and then the instruction portion. She allows time for show-n-tell as well (you just need to notify her in advance).
My son really looks forward to club, although he has only been to two thus far. We already have his Legos set aside for next month!!
Here he is at club building his tree

Lego Club is so much fun! The kids and I are not able to attend the class every week but when we can they always have a blast! Thanks for linking up this week to my Enchanted Thursdays Blog Hop!
