Pancake Day, Valentines Day and President's Day Resources

Since I didn’t put up any new workboxes this week, I do not really have a preschool wrap up…so let’s talk about the fun holiday’s that are coming up quicker than it seems possible!
Tuesday February 5th is International Pancake Day, if you live near an IHOP don’t forget to get your FREE pancakes this day!

My kids LOVE pancakes, so we eat them quite frequently, they are going to LOVE pancake day!

Chinese New Year is February 10th – We are taking a special field trip to Chinatown on the 1st, and having a Chinese New Year Party on the 7th with our Chinese class. The party will consist of Chinese food and themed crafts! There will be lots of fireworks that day around town too I’m sure, last year there were more than on the 4th of July or New Year’s Day (Jan 1st).

And who can forget Valentine’s Day?? (besides my husband, of course)

We had a ton of fun last year with these great Valentine’s Day Montessori Inspired Activities, and a few more things HERE. We’ll be adding a few new activities to the mix this year. One of which are these great Melissa and Doug beads that I snagged on sale.

Our Valentine’s Day week will be filled with lots of fun field trips too, since we are taking a break from our regular school week!
President’s Day is February 18th – We will be celebrating the Federal Holiday with a family whale watching trip (I know not much to do with Presidents). It’s also Lincoln and Washington’s Birthdays.
But how about reading one of these fun books?
