I love this article, it sums up perfectly WHY WE HOME SCHOOL! I love that is was written by a public school teacher. I have found that some public school teachers take the choice of home schooling personally, as if they weren't doing a good enough job, so you are pulling your child because you can do 'better'. There are definitely many great and qualified teachers who give 110% (or more) and doing the very best they can with what resources they have been given. I don't argue that! I am glad there are so many great and loving teachers in this world, the world needs them, and they don't get paid enough for what they do! God Bless them!
However, For all the reasons this teacher lists, we choose to home school. Unfortunately, here in the state of HI, homeschoolers still have to take the standardized tests (don't get me started on that!), but the other reasons still apply.
If you home school, are on the fence about home schooling, or think people that home school are crazy...read this article!
