Review & #Giveaway Captive DVD #CaptiveMovie #FlyBy

Captive Giveaway

About the movie:

Based on a miraculous story about the power of faith, Captive is an "amazing, inspiring" drama about the spiritual collision of two lost souls, Brian Nichols (Golden Globe Nominee David Oyelowo), on the run from police and desperate to make contact with his newborn son, takes recently widowed mother Ashley Smith (Kata Mara) hostage in her own apartment.  Fearing for her life and desperately hoping to see her daughter again, she turns to Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life for guidance.  Ashley and her captor face a crossroads where they discover hope and light in the midst of despair in the moving film that Dick Rolfe, CEO, Dove Foundation hailed as "powerful."

My Thoughts

I very much enjoyed this movie!  I was not familiar with the story prior to receiving this DVD.  It is rated PG-13 mostly because of protrayed drug use and violence.  I would not show this to my children under 13 for these reasons.  It is a great story that demonstrates how God can use anyone, and how he people are sometimes placed into our lives, without our full undestanding, but for a purpose.  The book The Purpose Driven Life is what helped to make this a story.  This is a very inspirational and uplfiting story.  I enjoyed every minute of it.

This was a good week, I feel like my fats were more balanced (less nuts), but this is about the time I start to get bored!  I’m on the downhill now, 50% done with round two… though I was thinking of extending this round to 40 days (I wanted to do 90 days straight, but it’s our anniversary next month and we are going to a bed and breakfast and wanted to be able to enjoy it).  I will re-evaluate after these next 15 days and decide if I want to keep going, stay tuned!
