Strawberry Cream Cheese Crescents

strawberry crescent

We had some leftover strawberry puree that my hubby had made for pancake topping, so I decided to make my own “pop tarts” for the kids for breakfast.

The puree is just straight up strawberries (we use thrive freeze dried strawberries, add water and heat up a bit to completely soften;you could easily do it with fresh strawberries as well).

Just unroll the crescent rolls and and about 1-2 tsp of strawberry puree, and 1/2 t of cream cheese to each.  I filled some of mine too full (probably more like 3t strawberry and 3/4t cream cheese, no harm no foul, they just oozed out a bit in the wrapping and baking process)

It’s super easy.  The puree was unsweetened, so I made a little bit of icing to go on top.  Powdered sugar, with enough water to make it runny and a dash of lemon juice.  YUM!

A yummy Valentine’s Day Treat!!

  2. That sounds so good. I love most anything with cream cheese in it. Come to think of it, I have some apple puree on hand. I just might try it with that.

I'm glad you're participating in the 100 day blogger challenge. I look forward to following and reading your posts. Especially if you have more cream cheese recipes, lol. (BTW, I made sure I clicked the picket fence for you too.)
