Workboxes–Day 2 of Essentials of Homeschooling *Giveaway*

workbox post

The discovery of workboxes was the first thing that changed our homeschooling for the better!  I can not say enough good things about workboxes!

The system was made famous by Sue Patrick, but it’s very versatile and can be adapted to best meet the needs of your family.

I’ve made several posts about workboxes, and even have a Facebook group Homeschool with Workboxes.

Workboxes have given my oldest son more independence in homeschooling, and has also served as a timeline.  He can easily see how much he has done and how much left he has to do.  No more “Are we done yet?”  “How much more do we have to do?”  It’s been amazing!

My younger kids love workboxes too, it’s like Christmas every week when they see what they have NEW in their workboxes, and when I’m a slacker mom and don’t make boxes for them….they are asking for them!

You can read in more detail how we workbox HERE, and I post each week (when I’m not slacking) what I have in my littles’ boxes!

Sue Patrick has graciously agreed to give away one copy of Sue Patrick's Workbox System User's Guide Ebook.  Enter below and Good luck!

  1. I bet we would have liked workboxes if I'd known about them when my kids were younger. It sounds and looks like a great way to organize their work. (BTW, my best friend from high school is also a Sue Patrick - I should let her know that she has a namesake who is a homeschool celebrity!)

  2. Oh Fun! I love the idea of work boxes, although we haven't officially started any yet. I'm hoping as my boys we can do this. I'm still in the researching phase. Thanks for sharing :) Jenn@TeachingTwoStinkers

  9. We used the workbox system in our home for a couple years. It was so great when my boys were younger and wanted them to be more independent. Great post..

  10. We sort of did when I had more room. Now we just have more of a routine/order we use. I'm setting up school in an area of the basement, so we'll have that space again soon.

  11. I'm thinking about implementing a workbox system. My oldest needs the structure of it.
