It’s been 4 or more year’s since we have been to Harper’s Ferry.  We parked on the MD side and walked the C&O Canal/Appalachian Trail over the Shenandoah River bridge into Harper’s Ferry.  We focused primarily on John Brown and Lewis & Clark (since we recently studies them).  We were there for several hours and still did not see everything!  We will have to go back again another time.  There are a few little monuments, lots of little museums, a great book store and several ice cream shops!

We use to live not too far away from the bridge (before we moved to Hawaii), so we went by to see the old house.  John Brown’s house was nearby too, but we could only look from the road, as you need to schedule tours.  We may do that another time.
