Motivate Your Child: A Christian Parent's Guide to Raising Kids Who Do What They Need to Do Without Being Told by Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller is an EXCELLENT read!

I had heard many great things about this book and #heartparenting, and was so happy to finally be able to check it out myself!

This book made so much sense, from both a Christian and Psychological perspective.  I’m going to have to read it again and again to get the full use of it.  There is so much information here!  It really gave me a lot of great ideas and also reminded me of things I already knew (as a Early Childhood professional) but have seemed to have forgotten as a rear my own children.

I’m really excited, as well, to be part of the launch team for Motivate Your Child Action Plan, a step by step guide to implementing the principles from Motivate Your Child.

This book can work with children of any age!  As titled, this is a Christian Perspective, Bible versus are used heavily throughout the text as well as application examples.

As a Latter Day Saint (Mormon), I found this book helpful as well, and many aspects mentioned in Part II fell right in line with LDS practices, such as Family Home Evening and many other gospel principles.

I’m not a big fan of parenting books in general, but this was a great book!
