We’ve been busy enjoying some outside field trips now that the weather is so nice!

Since we didn’t have Field Trip Friday last week, this week’s post is jammed packed!

cunningham
For our Fresh Water Biome field trip, hubby took the boys fishing at Cunningham Falls.  They didn’t catch anything, but they had a good time!

beavers
As part of our Lewis and Clark unit study by Homeschool Legacy we went to check out the beaver that lives in the pond behind our house!

Washington Monument
We went to check out the Washington Monument in Middletown, MD.  We have been many years before, but the kids didn’t really remember.  It’s on part of the Appalachian Trail on South Mountain Battlefield.  The kids enjoyed the visitor center (it’s small); it had a visual of the battles there, with lights that moved around while it was narrated.

After the monument we headed down the road to South Mountain Creamery.  They have great ice cream!  You can also help feed the calves at 4pm.  We though Baby K would like the, she is into animals, but apparently only ones in books and on TV.  She was not happy and did not like the cow that kept mooing at her!  Our bottle wasn’t working right and the calf was getting so frustrated!  They also sell other fresh products and offer home delivery as well.

Hungry Calf….Got Milk??
