Last weekend: I had a GREAT weekend! Busy, but great! I attended the wedding and baptism of a dear friend! Hubby had a scouting campout, so I solo’d the wedding with the kids in tow (always an adventure). It was such a great event though! So excited for her! The kids also had their Past Times class at the Historical Society.
Monday: I had our homeschool review today. It went well. It’s only our 2nd ever (in Hawaii we didn’t have formal reviews). I was surprised it was so early, I guess they go in ABC order, and well…I’m an A. But it did go really well. Hubby had off for a dentist appointment, so I was able to go kid free (my preferred method) and then he took them to MMA and I had a quiet afternoon home!
Tuesday: Field Trip! We went to Mount Vernon – more on that next week for Field Trip Friday!
Wednesday: This was our only “school day” all week. But it was a good one! It was also Hubby’s birthday! It was a light load day, as we finished up stuff last week and didn’t want to start anything new that we wouldn’t be returning to for a bit. We wrapped up Freshwater biomes (and they will have a freshwater field trip with hubby on Tuesday, weather permitting). I attended book club for the book Maude (I mentioned a week ago or so), stayed way to late, got home at midnight and was locked out of the house! I pounded on the doors for 10mins when hubby finally woke up and let me in. I guess he locked them out of habit, b/c he said he didn’t remember doing it.
Thursday: We had co-op. We only meet every other week and the kids always look forward to it! C made this great Washington wig! It was a beautiful afternoon so hubby took the kids bike riding at the park behind our house.
Friday: Swimming! It was the last day of swimming for the session. We will start back up after a week off. After swimming we watched a science video on ocean biomes and we also did an art project! I have a girls night out tonight with two dear friends…our oldests are the same age and we met in baby play group back when they were infants. We always try to get together, and the schedules never pan out…but we put this on the calendar over a month ago!! Can’t wait! I feel bad being gone another night this week, but hubby is a good sport. It just worked out that way.
We will see what the weather does this weekend, that will impact our plans. It’s suppose to snow tonight… say wha???
