Do You Never Have Time to Shop for Yourself? Have you heard of Stitch Fix?

I heard about this from a friend on Facebook, and decided to give it a try.  My first shipment came today, and I was pretty happy!

As a mom of 4, I rarely go shopping by myself, let along for myself.  Stitch Fix brings clothes shopping TO YOU!

I will admit the prices are more than I would usually spend, these aren’t Target or Ross clothes.  BUT, I loved the feel of the clothes, they are GREAT quality.

I received in my first shipment 5 items.  A pair of jeans, 3 tops and a dress.  I was very pleased with all the items, except one shirt I didn’t care for.  I purchased 1 top and a pair of jeans (because, they felt AMAZING!!)

Here is the outfit I purchased (top and jeans):

(next month I’ll lay the items out nicer, I’ve already bagged them up and honestly this blog post was an after thought).

They come with a pre-postage paid bag to return any unwanted items, you have 3 days to return what you do not want.  They also send a personalized note, a page with prices and a page that shows each item and 2 suggestions of outfits with that item.

(This also shows you a better picture of the dress and other tops)

The cost of the service is $20.  You can pick how often you want your items shipped – every 3wks, every month or every other month.  When you purchase an item (either one or more), the $20 fee is deducted from your total.  If you purchase ALL the items you receive an additional 25% off.  If you buy nothing, you are still charged the $20 service fee.

To register there is a pretty extensive questionnaire to get a feel of your likes and dislikes, sizes, styles, preferences, etc.  You can also indicate which types of items you would like to receive (ie accessories, colors, styles, etc…)

They pick clothes to fit your profile; I mentioned in my profile that I nursed an infant, so dresses would need to be nursing friendly.  She definitely made note of this and all items were nursing friendly!

You can link up your Pinterest page (as I keep a board of outfits I like) as well as other profiles so they can get a feel for your likes.

You compete a survey on each item you receive, whether you want to keep it, how it fit, if you liked it, etc… and a place for comments.  Oh and they also ask about the price (was it too high?).

I think as Moms we tend to put ourselves on the back burner, what a fun way to take care of YOU!  I know I always thought it would be cool to have a personal stylist…now I do!

I know that on days I dress frumpy, I FEEL frumpy.  I have been making an effort to get dressed and look nice each day, and I FEEL so much better!

If this sounds like something you’d like to try, check out my referral link.  I receive a $25 credit if you make a purchase.

My next shipment comes Oct 3rd, so stay tuned!
