F is for Family Unit (Printables)

Some friends and I started up a Preschool Co-op that starts this week!  My 4yo is so excited.  We will rotate houses and teaching every week on Tuesdays.  I teach week 2 and the topic is Friends and Family….though I’m focusing more on Family.

I made some printables that I wanted to share with all of my awesome readers!  They include:

Do-a-dot page
Number clip cards
Family member spelling pages
Do-a-dot magnet page

family pack

You can download the pages by clicking HERE

We will read this book:

and make our own family trees.  I printed the outline of an apple on red paper, and leaves on green paper for the kids to cut out.  We will make a trunk from their arm and hand…and label the apples (one for each family member) for them glue on the tree.  I have asked they bring a family picture, which we will glue at the base of the tree.

Other activities:

Adding dolls to the wooden blocks

Playdough with family cookie cutters

Helping at home:  Setting the table (printable placemat), Preparing food (Melissa and Doug Cutting Basket), Washing Dishes (in the water table).

There are only 5 boys in the group, and we meet for 3 hours (including snack and circle time), so I think I’ve got plenty to keep them busy.  I may add some things, as I’m still brain storming and have another week before I have to implement.  I’ll keep you posted!
