Monoprints–Art for Young Children
We did a really fun art project at co-op the today that I wanted to share with everyone!
Using tin foil we made monoprints. (you could also use a cookie sheet, but we liked that the tin foil could just be thrown away afterwards)
Each child got a piece of tin foil with the paper size traced on it.
They painted on the tin foil
The paper was then placed on top of their painting and rubbed over.
When the paper was removed, their painting was transferred to the paper!
My son repeated the process several times! His painting (pictured above) was meant to replicate a Jackson Pollock splatter paint piece.
Special thanks to Laura, who taught co-op today!
How fun! Thank you for linking up this week to my Enchanted Thursdays Blog Hop!
