We made Wyoming Sheepherder’s Chili, I quartered the recipe and it was perfect amount for our family of 4.  I also made up some corn bread (not sure if that is Wyoming style or not, but what is chili without corn bread?  lol) I also dumped all the ingredients into the crock pot on high for 2-3hrs (cooked the beef first).

We also talked about geysers, and made our own geyser. This picture does not do it justice, as it went up at least 10ft!
This experiment is super easy, all you need is a roll of mint Mentos and a 2L bottle of diet coke (diet is better because it is not as sticky).  Dump the Mentos in the soda bottle all at once, and step back!  I used a plastic test tube, but you could also use a rolled up piece of paper.  For more details on this experiment go HERE  (I have it pinned HERE)
And of course, we also colored the state on the map, sorted the state cards and posted our postcard on our wall map!

  2. Learning about the state you live in is SO important. Most often, it is over looked by children. Thank you for linking up to The Sunday Showcase!
